my Philosophy...
I became a photographer because I can't help but notice beauty oozing from everything around me. For me, the most stunning, breath-taking kind of beauty is the kind that stems from true love. It literally makes me stop in my tracks and want nothing more than to capture that moment. So when you shoot with me you'll notice I REALLY don't love what I call "posey posey" photography. What I love is getting to know a couple, getting to know what makes you tick, and helping draw that out so what you see in an image is real people, really in love. Yes, of course I know what flatters most and I will direct you a little bit when need be. But your only job for the day is to leave a little bit more in love than when you arrived. My job is to make you look good. Trust me, every single person has a little bit of glam in them. It just takes the right person to make it come out to play. I always say this, so I should probably say it here...a great photographer is someone with 50% technical know-how and experience, and 50% good, easy, comfortable rapport. Think about the difference between photos taken by a stranger and an old friend. That ease and realness is what makes all the difference in the world. And it's what makes for your story, told in moments that are bigger than words so that moments may never be forgotten..
"We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten.”
~Cesare Pavese
