Joshua Tree & the Salton Sea engagement session (photography bucket list, CHECK)
I call it everyday adventuring. If I haven’t been outside my bubble at least a couple times in any given month, you may wonder why I’m in a noticeable funk. I need to explore, to wander, and – most definitely – to feed my creativity. Me being stagnant just doesn’t work for me, or anyone around me for that matter (just ask my husband!). So when Nicole and Jason were up for a crazy little adventure that I floated by them…happy camper, right here. Although next time I go to Joshua Tree, I’m determined to be an actual camper.
Nicole and Jason are keeping up their sense of adventure and getting married near the Central Coast of California in June. I am so honored to be there and document this next step of their journey and celebrate their wedding day! My hope for them is that in these images of them scaling rocks, side-stepping attacking cactus balls, and rocking some gale force winds, they are constantly reminded to make time for another beautiful, random adventure. Much love to you both!
Joshua Tree is pretty epically beautiful all by itself. Nicole’s RentTheRunway gown and Jason’s A-game attire really just took this to a whole other level. This is the kind of art I would love all my couples’ to have adorning their walls for the next 70 years!
Adventure + love story = best clients EVER.
Everyday is a good day for feeling like a million bucks. Gowns in the desert? I say WHY NOT?!
After the desert we high-tailed it down to the Salton Sea to steal the last rays of daylight.
Bombay beach. Complete unexpected beauty in the middle of the desert. And fortunately, you can’t smell what it was like in a photograph.
Congrats you guys!!!!
